For the caramel cake, preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Grease the cake tin with margarine. Mix flour with baking soda and salt. Add condensed milk, eggs, lemon juice and margarine and mix with a mixer until fluffy.

Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown. Let cake cool for 10 minutes, remove from pan and let cool.

Serve the caramel cake sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Preparation Tip:

You can also bake the caramel cake with homemade caramel sauce. Chopped nuts look especially good in the dough. If you like, you can cover the cake with chocolate icing and sprinkle nuts on top. Enjoyed warm with some vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce a great dessert.
