Sift the flour. Place in a large enough bowl with the baking powder. Place curd cheese and 50 g butter in flakes on top. Add almond kernels, milk, egg and stollen spice. Knead all ingredients with the dough hook of the food processor to a compact dough.
Chop the cherries, cut the apricots and knead into the dough together with the nuts, diced candied lemon peel and candied orange peel. Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking tray.
Bake fruit stollen for 45-50 minutes, remove and cool slightly. Melt 50 g butter in a saucepan, coat all sides of Stollen, roll in sugar and cool completely.
Extra tip
If you bake the Stollen on the baking tray, it is best to place a double-folded strip of aluminum foil around the dough so that it keeps its shape.
